Huraa Island, North Male’ Atoll
Located just one hour by ferry from Male, Huraa is a charming, small island in the North Male Atoll that allows you to immerse yourself in a local Maldivian community.
Seashine Guesthouse, opened in April 2013, is a family-run guesthouse located one minute from the Huraa public ferry terminal. Owner Nafiz has worked over ten years in the neighbouring Four Seasons Resort, so he is well equipped to make your stay as carefree and enjoyable as possible.
The public ferry to Huraa leaves Male at 3.30pm daily, except Friday, for around $2. The return ferry leaves Huraa every day at 8am, with the exception of Friday.
As well as reaching some of the Maldives’ most famous surf breaks in just ten minutes, guests can snorkell with fish and sharks in our crystal clear waters, relax on the small island beaches, head out on fishing trips, or shop for local souvenirs.
The island features a restaurant and a cafe, several small stores to buy food and drinks, soccer and cricket fields, a small local school, and access to The Four Seasons and Club Med Resorts.
